This notice explains what personal data High Value Traffic (“HVT”, “we”, “us”) collects through hvtagency.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Questions about anything here can go to info@hvtagency.com.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you complete the enquiry form on our Contact page we collect your name, work email address, company or website, the area you are interested in, and the content of your message. If you go on to work with us as an affiliate or a brand, we also hold the contact and account details needed to manage that relationship and to pay you.
Information collected automatically. Our site uses WordPress.com Stats (Jetpack) and Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used. These record technical information such as approximate location, referring page, device and browser type. We do not use advertising or profiling trackers on this site.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and discuss working together. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us.
- To run the affiliate network — introducing affiliates to gaming brands, setting up tracking, reporting on performance and arranging payment. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interests in operating the business.
- To keep the site working and improve it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including record keeping and gambling compliance requirements. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We are an affiliate agency, so introductions are central to what we do. Where you ask us to, or where it is necessary to set up and run a campaign, we share relevant details with:
- Gaming operators, brands and affiliate networks we introduce you to, so that accounts, tracking links and commercial terms can be arranged.
- Service providers who run our systems, including our website host (Automattic, which operates WordPress.com), our email provider, and analytics providers.
- Professional advisers, regulators or law enforcement where we are required to disclose information.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
International transfers
Some of our suppliers and partners are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK we rely on an adequacy decision or on standard contractual clauses with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a working relationship are kept for up to 24 months. Where we do work together, we keep records for the duration of the relationship and then for up to six years afterwards to meet accounting and legal requirements.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@hvtagency.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
